    Reexamination of and balancing of local levequest issuing conditions

    Adjustments to item condition values
    Adjustments to lower the rate at which item condition deteriorates

    Synthesis interface improvements
    Adjustments to the item synthesis process

    Increased pace of gathering actions
    Changes to the frame rates of action animations to speed up gathering

    Retainer system improvements
    Ability to summon retainers currently operating a bazaar

    Reexamination of enemy size
    Optimization of enemy size for ease of play

    Reexamination of stats
    Addition of an auto-MP regeneration feature

Looks good indeed. I'm interested in seeing the new storyline quests, and being able to click on name plates finally...very nice!

It was a Down time for XI and XIV.

For 10 houres Servers got hardware upgread & switched location.

XI did get additinal stuff Software wise as well.

But not XIV

Let the WoWification of FFXIV begin...le sigh! I mean seriously why a frickin !, why not a crystal or something else Final Fantasy~ish Oh and honestly if all thats shown below is whats involved in said new side-quests ~ find !, and a small window with kill x amount of mobs appears and you get ....... reward ~ ummm there better be some kind of shortish at least in-game cut scenes too.....argh This is no better than the rather boring levequests...

LE SIGH.... {if this is all we get or have to look forward too, I dunno if I'll care anymore! Course its still possible more advanced quests with scenes could appear later on once XIV is properly updated, but by then and again, will I even care then...blah} I know having these thoughts now, could be premature...maybe...but they are heavy thoughts indeed...

Patch 1.16, set to go live on Thursday, March 3, will introduce several new sidequests to Eorzea. To go along with this, there are also a number of changes to make the questing experience smoother, as well as adjustments to the degrees of difficulty for many local levequests.Sidequests

Sidequests are a new category of quests that are being added to the game. These will be made available through various NPCs located in each of the three cities, given that a player first fulfills certain class/rank prerequisites. The content of these endeavors vary greatly from one another, and we will continue to add further sidequests in future patches. NPCs offering sidequests are easily distinguishable by the presence of an exclamation point (!) icon above their heads. The same icon is also displayed at sidequest NPC locations on the map and minimap. In the future, we plan to extend this feature to other quest NPCs, such as those offering class quests.

* The term "sidequests" is the new official designation for what were previously referred to as "miniquests" in several Letter from the Producer posts.
** Only sidequest NPCs within a certain distance of the player will have the ! icon displayed over their head.



Local Levequests

The objectives of certain local levequests are currently somewhat difficult to complete due to disparities between the synthesis rank of their requested items and the approximate rank needed to reach the associated aetheryte. To address this, patch 1.16 will contain adjustments to the recommended ranks, degrees of difficulty, and item types and amounts requested of these levequests.

* Levequests undertaken prior to version 1.16 will automatically be adjusted upon server restart following the patch.

As much as it may be disheartning to read this.:

Im of the strong opinion that if you dont like what the game has to offer now. It never will bring you the satisfaction you are looking for.


If by the end of april you still hold no joy playing this game.. Its fair to say you will most
likely never like this game.




And id like to add. The Leve quest system is fine. But SE needs to Set difficulty not the players.
Im with a bunch of lvl 50 players atm and Id say 90 % have no idea how to play there class.
All they did to get up there is Easy Mode Leve quest every 36 houres mindlessly as they watched TV.

agree with angstrom.... they should make it a predetermined difficulty... and variety instead of a single leve with different difficulties....

even wow still forcing ppl to group for dungeons and raids.... so you can choose to solo local regular quest but not dungeons, where you'll need a party... that is imo something that is safe to copy w/o ruining FF image and making it looks like a wow clone.

and no !!!!! please... dang....

if you put crystals on top of their heads tho... you'll get sued by EA (the sims)
