FFXIV ~ ESRB Rating "T"– for Teen –

Like anyone really cares about a Teen rating, or what the ESRB has to say most times. However they have a new description block to better describe what each game contains, that was added last year I believe, and its quite humorous; to say the least...

Yeah, I imagine the little Japanese boys won't be the only ones doing that. I don't really see the need for a larger panel explaining the elements of the rating system to parents. Most parents aren't even aware that there is a rating system, they don't look at it now, and they certainly won't look at a massive wall of text. Anyone likely to read it would already know what it meant.

I guess it could absolve them in some legal sense though.

I'm no expert on Japanese culture, but I'm fairly sure the average 13 year old has seen his share of tentacle rape videos.

I don't think seeing a pair of bloomers on a cat girl is going to mentally scar those kids.

They will if your parents are of the wacky religious the US is chock full of, that think everything is bad...

Heck for the longest time, the internet was banned in my home, so I had to sneak it and hide it from my mother. Finally after a few years she learned how great it was and doesn't mind it anymore...hehe

Oh boy... Having parents who were completely uninterested in computers and totally clueless was a Godsend for me when I was 11 or so. I tell ya my 14.4k was constantly beeping and booping to fill my image folders. lol

Oh the days where it took 5 minutes to see a girl's face downloaded before your eyes... I don't miss them.

Naw, they've seen far worse. No need to worry about them, I think most would agree. the only place people are worried about that would be the US, and most of these kids have seen worse too. They've grown up with internet porn readily available, they've probably seen much more than their parents ever have. But that's what you get from prudish Americans.



Premature burial works just fine as a cure for adolescence.

Growing up my parents use to hover over my shoulders and say "Oo her name is cute talk to her." or "Quick quick ask her to become your girlfriend.. aw that's so cute." Yea my parents were internet pimps. Good old yahoo chat.
