Havent checked anything recent... recently though. So, what do you guys like? ^.^

Been keeping up with Naruto and Bleach the most...though I'm a few eps behind on both, and I'm eagerly awaiting the 2nd half of Gundam 00 this fall!

Ouran High School Host Club (though I like the anime better)

Anime:
Bleach (though I need to catch up again - haven't been able to watch for 3 weeks!)

Ouran is much better in anime form, but the manga isnt that bad. :)

What is it with you guys and Bleech its so cheezy!

I don't mean to offend anyone, i.e. Khalus, but I''d rather make myself a eunuch than watch anime or read manga. I like books, real books like the Gotrek and Felix novels, or the Horus Heresy novels, the Vlad Taltos series (sort of low/dark fantasy I mean REALLY dark/low. Its about a human assasin working for an Elvish mafia. I mean it runs illeagle gambling joints, prostitution rings, assassanations, the real deal. It's really good.), anything by Paul S. Kemp (Erevis Cale is quite posssibly one of the greatest fantasy charcters ever, on par with Gotrek, Felix, and Malus Darkblade. And let us not forget the The Legend of Sigmar, I also like the Forgotten Realms novels. I never have really read any comics, but if I do, I'd keep to Marvel stuff like Iron Man and Hellboy. Those two really. In a horrible piece of great irony, God has (Beyond what I believe to be the scope of all mortal reasoning) made me in a way so that most of the girls I like may or may not, be the punk/goth/emo/raver/Japanophile types, and some of them (one) is quite obviously a harlot, but she's so beautiful! She's like a little vampire. A short, pale, red-haired, evil vampire. She has a wonderful voice! Even her cough is attractive. She has a sexy cough. Yes I know this is a bit creepy, and might be one to believe I'm some sort of obsesive stalker, but I assure you, I am not. Yes, I have had dreams about here and may or may not seen her in "missing" signs, and out of state in an ammusment park, but that doesn't mean I'm obsessed, right? But thankfully, God chose for me to be burdened with Asperger's Syndrome, which means I have nothing to fear, ... except talking to her, or most people.

There was one dark fantasy I read about called Touched By Venom (forgot the author), but it's really for adults - not for child's eyes (full of sexual content, violence, and corruption).

I personally have quite a few Anime DVD Box sets thatI have bought over the years. I love that in Anime the characters can seem so alive compared to that of Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig. Its a lot more Adult (If not X rated) than a lot of people give it credit for. Most people go, " Oh thats what that Pokiemon (<--- I HATE WHEN PEOPLE PRONOUNCE IT LIKE THAT) show is. That stuff is stupid. Its for babies". But they dont realize that those were designed for younger crowds. If they saw the shit their kids were REALLY watching they would probably get grounded, Lol.

And I love Manga as well. Though I don't read it non-stop, I do enjoy it. To me its just a graphic Novel. And I love reading and falling in love with the characters xD. With the visuals there it seems to make me grow more attached to certain characters more so than in a book. Though I like to read novels as well, but the story plots/action/romances in Manga are more exadgerated and fun to watch roll out IMO. xD

I just finished reading "The Dreaming", a manga available online at Tokyopop.com. So far that's the only manga I've read, but I like it. I will probably start reading a lot online. Oh, they are also releasing all 5 volumes of "Bizenghast", one volume at a time. I love the style of drawing in that one!

I have heard of it, but I have yet to really look it up. I might have to do that and add it to my already large list of manga that I'm still buying Volumes to as they are released. Lol

If you mean "Bizenghast", it's free right now to read online. It only took me about 1/2 hour to read the 1st volume. I think Vol I is only up for a day or two more, though, before they replace it with Vol II.

Bizenghast is a bit odd... I dont remember much of it, but I remember it being so. Even the cover art is odd. hehe

Myruid: the enter key is your friend. And if you are the type that thinks that anime or manga are for children only, and thats why you wont watch it, then I think you should go watch Mnemosyne. :P

I am from the old school when anime was on the sci/fi channel when I was a kid. I used to wake up on Saturdays mornings just to watch them.
They used to show: Venus Wars, Akira, 8 Manafter, Demon City Shinjuku, Dominion Tank Police, Battle Angel just to name a few. I really dont like whats on TV right now but hopping for better ones to come in the near future. I really enjoyed just recently watching Suzuka, Witchblade and Welcome to The NHK ( i really thought was funny and enjoyed). :P

Well you can just DL all the good anime from all over the net! Screw waiting on the TV networks to decide what we wanna watch! Its all out there somewhere...many places have stockpiles of it...but some u gotta do a little searching for it!

Akira was the first ever anime I watched and I loved it! :)

Anime News!!

Candy Boy, a yuri one shot has been made into a mini-series. Each episode is 14 minutes long, the same as the original OVA (or is it OAV?)! The first two episodes are out and subbed on animesuki. There will be 7 episodes, plus the original, that will make 8.

Also... I hate dubbed anime, it always sounds horrible compared to the original Japanese... Eureka 7 (which I like), still gives me nightmares with the main kids voice. Leave it to Beaver-esque, all he needed to say was "Golly-gee!" And I would have gone down to the dub-producers company and taken a bat to the guy doing the VA... >.<
