Creating Macros

These charts are being copied from FFXIclopedia and being listed here for much quicker reference. I also darkened them so they were not so blindingly bright on the darker BG of these forums.

Available Commands
Each macro starts with a command to determine what type of command you will issue. The most common are:

Selecting a Target (Pronouns)
Several commands require you to specify a target as a parameter to your action (such as /lockon, /target, /magic, and /range), you can use the following placeholders to select targets:

Syntax
When programming your macros, be sure to always include proper spelling, punctuation, and targets. Refer to the page for each command for more information about their usage and examples. Quotation marks are optional when referencing a single-word ability, weapon skill, spell, etc. (for instance, "/ja Benediction " is a working macro).

/macro book #
/macro set #

what this will do is say for me...a smn

im in macro book 2 macro set 5

/equip main "Apollo's Staff"
/equip hands "Carbuncle mitts"
/ma "Carbuncle"
/macro book 2
/macro set 6

the last 2 will then swap macro pallettes. in book 2 set 6 u put avatar blood pacts. say...

/ja "Poison Nails"
/ja "Double Slap"
/ja "Double Punch"

all under one macro. now before u say "wait ach...why put carby shiva ifrits, etc, etc attack all on same macro?"

simple. less space is taken. if carbuncle is out he will use poison nails if ifrit the double punch and so on and so forth.

DD JOBS before u say this does not apply to u think again!
u can make it easier to equip different sets of gear. a haste set? a WS set? the possibilities are endless.

for a mage they could ahve an enfeeble pallette a nuke pallette and a heal pallete with some buffs. NOTE!!! good macros take TIME! GL with ur macros
