Oh man this is hilarious and damn was it made fast since this horse was released to the Blizzard store yesterday for $25 and over 160k players have bought it already! Sheesh, I'd sure like to make 4 million in one day for creating a virtual item that has no purpose other than letting others know you have far too much money to spend on retarded horsies.

Lmao that was pretty funny. I like the mount but would never pay real money for it. *sigh* Micro-transactions will not go away when a company can make $4 million in less than 24 hours.

That is hilarious, and scary.
There should be more micro-transaction items that stick out like a sore thumb, so as to easily identify those foolish enough to buy them.
I also kinda like it.

lol
btw Khal I found it funny that the person who proved your theory of no one ever wanting to post in this section wrong was... you :p
Blah, I would have just posted it elsewhere, but my theory is still solid, and nobody has said much about WoW since I reopened the forums for it...rawr!
The mog satchel is far more useful than a Retarded Horse lol
Agree! THR is for looks only. A mog satchel has a HUGE benefit to the game!
Ya in a way thats the pointe im trying to make. If some company wants to charge 25$ for some crap thats absolutly not needed I have no probleme with that.
playing withought the mog satchel is god near stupid. Even when i had the satchel i still had major inventory problems.
So its like you almost dont have a choice but to spend the money for it.(evil) Wich is smart in a other way, cause im sure giving everyone N incentive to get the security token boosted its sell and makes the game alot safer from RMT for everyone, and saves them a hole crap load of comunity managment work.
Anyways i dont get why anyone would buy that stupid horse. It looks like Ass.

At least it matches the game
Burn on WoW!
You don't NEED a Mog Satchel, there are quests to increase mog house space and inventory space, before that we had to actually use our organizational skills to keep our inventory clean! I take it you're a hoarder? :p

Hoarder? Not even. But. As soon as you try lvling more then 2 diffrent classes your in deep ****.
Its no secret how cluster ****ED FFXI is.
On the other side I like the fact its not simple and you need to use your brain a bit. All i really wanted to point out is. micro transaction are never good. but.
Id rather have them absolutly stupid like the one in WoW then that satchel i bought in FFXI. Its all very border line and i gess you could say, well why the hell did you buy it then?

A month late but meh. I still play WoW but no where near where I used to. Maybe 3 hours a week if even that. I can tell you that every time I see one of those mounts I picture some spoiled kid asking his / her mom for an advance on his allowance. It is like all of these stupid Yugioh cards my son buys. No point what so ever but it makes him feel like he has something cool. Would I ever give him $25 for a stupid mount? heck no. $10 for cards? Maybe if he cleans his room and he knows I'm ebaying them the second he hits high school. ( you can't really ebay a bought mount) Sadly all games seem to be switching to this pay for vanity items model. ( not sure if what Kotaku had about FFXIV a few months ago was correct or not but they mentioned FFXIV may have some for cash items ) I really think all of these developers are just getting greedy. If your already paying a subscription fee then it is a bit of a slap in the face to then say " well if you want to be one of the cool looking people you will have to pony up another $25, $50,$100".

Square-Enix has said multiple times they are abhor to cash shops and the like, but they are looking into other paid services like name changes and maybe race changes...who knows.
SE of all developers though are not greedy, they have proven that a few years ago when the economy started to go S and every game developer across the world started closing doors, and laying off tons of people or selling out.
Instead of that all the top execs at Square-Enix had a press-announcement {wish I could find the article} where they all agreed to cut their own salaries so they didn't have to fire or let anyone go below and continue as usual. I find that truly impressive and a company that really really cares about their employees and their games, and not, "OMG I'm not making 6 figures anymore forcing other ppl to do stuff we know will make a game suck then blame the consumers and pirates for poor sales....rofl"
Anyway...

Which is why I posted "( not sure if what Kotaku had about FFXIV a few months ago was correct or not but they mentioned FFXIV may have some for cash items )" instead of Evil SE to charge for gold chocobo mounts. SE has been fair. Security token got you more bag space. They could have just as easy said " security token is it,You can pay another $25 for more bag space". You can tell they all play games unlike some of these developers where past the coding it is just a bunch of shirts more interested in quantity of numbers then quality.
