An old friend and I were talking about playing this game several months back. I didn't realize it was released mid April. I read reviews for this, and watched game play videos. This looks so freaking fun. I never played them before. But it looks to play like PSU, only much more hardcore. I'm thinking of buying this today. Apparently Online mode offers quests you can't get offline. And all the offline/online content transfers between the two.
If you're into hardcore PvE MMO action, and own a Wii, this is probably something some of you may like.

My goodness, that very first loading screen took forever and scares me off.
I'd much rather play the Monster Hunter Frontier MMO, but unfortunately its IP blocked and in Japanese only. However there are ways around playing it but I dunno how much I'd enjoy it not being able to read the story and quests and you can get banned very easily by the community if they find out you're not Japanese.

Im already playing Xao Game name is Albion code is (LMKEJG) @Khalus at first i had the same reaction but its not bad at all. Iv come to like it cause it reminds me of my EQ1 days. @satha I disagre with you. of all the reviews hes done it almost sounds like hes not even the one who played the game. Sounds like he's reading someone's script. everything he mentioned is really small noob stuff. Though its not like he ever really had any credibility, though he is usually funny. i found that review fell flat. there were other much more funnie things he could have exploited. though he never played pass 1 houre or so. I gess as a reviewer you have to be frustrated from the begining if you know you will need to spend 400 houres to even get close to the end of the game. But thats just my opinion.
Iv not played in a few days but if you plan on going in there ill go hang out with ya. Let me know when you plan to be on.
Cheers

Oh cool xD. Sorry for posting about it when there was already a thread for it. Didn't even notice that Wii section to the forums xD.
I'll have to add you when I go online :). I'm still working through story mode. I just got done catching my first Great Jeggi :D.

No worries, I got to see how topic merging worked in the process
I'm a little surprised Khal didn't catch it though, he's usually right on top of these things :p
I have yet to pick up this game, I've wanted to get it since I heard of it but I hate going to our mall, it sucks arse! Digital Downloading is so much more convenient, and usually cheaper!
If/when I get it I'll look you guys up so we can (that's "party" by the way... just making sure)

Just let me know When you start Online and ill try to hop on at same time then you. Playing with someone from the comunity will definitly be worth jumping back on there. Looking forward to it.

Nah I saw it and didn't mind there being two threads for it, but also seeing if anyone else actually did anything around here, or was it just me...heh Topic merging is kinda whacky here if not done right...

Sure thing :). I think I maybe have 15 hours in the game right now? I had a royal ass kicking the first time I fought Qurupeco. I play a Lancer mostly (at least until I unlock the Long Sword :P) so the first round was me getting my footing with how to confront the damn thing xD.
The Royal Ludroth wasn't nearly as bad. But he did knock me out 2 times because I started running out of supplies xD. I'm kind of scared to go up against Barroth now. And I still have a request to capture Qurupeco ;_;. To bad they don't offer to let you do those Guild orders online, too. lol

-You can start playing online by now if you like. your going to have to start from the bigining online, that you complet the hole offline or not. You get guild orders online that have you build up HR. HR is like your fame. the higher up you are the more the guild trusts you with biger missions. -Lancer is the also my main. Hammer and Greatsword, are my secondary. -Figuering out supply's, is a big step forward. But also take time to figuer out armour skill set's and how they can help you. Once you have a armour build that complements the weapon you like to use, you have solved a big problem. The trick to it is you need to have at least +10 in most skill beffor it will actually do anything. for example +9 in sharpness will do nothing but +10 sharpness will. And also say that is one of the games most usefull skill, for most class.
Cheers!!! I hope your having fun.

Yeah, I need to read up on skills. The game doesn't really give an option to highlight them and see what they do. At least from what I tried anyway. So I have no idea what most of them do xD.
I'll probably start playing online mode when I get my Wii Lan connector. My Wifi access is directly beside the Wii. But wifi sucks to being with, lol.
EDIT:
I just saw it says you can use the Wiimote to highlight the skills. But I tried before and it wouldn't do anything. Guess I'll try again xD. Silly me.

Oh really? :o I'm glad it worked fine then, I was careful not to screw it up though, I'd hate to have to sort out the mess merging two different topics would cause lol
I'm anal about organization that way :p it wouldn't have been so bad if they didn't both have the exact same title right down to the proper capitalization, and if they weren't the only two threads in the Wii section

Nah its actually all messed up, cause both threads were going in different direction topic wise and now it doesn't make any sense if you try to read it...

I thought Pyrrha did a good job. There is just so much you can do when something like this happens.

Whats sad is I traded it in at gamestop. I would have only gotten like, 100 or 120 at most if i did it over ebay (and thats before they charge me fees) or craigslist.
