| I get a free trial coming with my new GPU... I'm not huge into RTS anymore but hey... it's free...
Broke down and bought a GTX 460... bought the Palit over-clocked version looked so damn impressive in the shootouts I had to take the plunge... I hope it comes tomorrow so I can have my new toy for the weekend!
BTW... I'm gonna do a before & after on the FF14 benchmark once I get the new card... before is going to be a GTX 260, after is this new GTX 460. I might OC my CPU a little bit as well for a little extra oomph.
As soon as I'm done I'll post a thread with results for those who care bout this kinda stuff :) | |

This is framerates for various cards playing Farcry 2 at 1920 x 1200, full anti alias, blah blah blah... Look at the Palit's framerate... 72.... then go down to the ATI 5870... 59 Edit: I know... Farcry 2 is really an Nvidia-biased game... but look at the rest of the 31-page review... the Palit card trounces the 5830 and in most cases even the 5850. One or two instances it even beats the GTX 470. | |

| Wild that the 295 is just under the 5970. I think me and the 460 will make wonderful lil games together. Unless the 475 comes out under 300. | |

| K... I am reading thru their review of a pair of GTX460s in SLI... and holy farking crap! WAAAAY better SLI scaling than the GTX 200 series!
A pair of 768MB GTX 460s (the $199 EVGA model... so $398 for 2) is killing a single GTX480 ($500).
I gotta sell some more gadgets to buy another 460 (and bigger PSU). | |
