Hello everyone

Like others I saw your write up on mmorpg and hope I can join you in Final Fantasy XIV.

I've played a few mmorpgs - WoW, Lotro and Everquest. I've never played any Final Fantasy games but I like the look of it and can't wait to give it a try. I've bought Final Fantasy XI just so I can get used to the controls and get a general feel for the series before XIV is launched.

For me, it's all about trying things out and having fun. I'm keen to explore and try crafting, as well as levelling whatever character I decide on (haven't got that far yet lol). I like socialising in the chat channels and forums.

I should warn you I'm technically inept (so installing stuff like Ventrilo takes a little patience) and have absolutely no sense of direction, which leads to quite a lot of inadvertent exploring. You can imagine how long it took me to get through the Mines of Moria in Lotro!

I took the name Squizzle because of my tendency to hoard absolutely everything, on the off chance that ten years in the future, it might be useful. This causes no end of problems with bags and vault space in game. I'm currently attending a Hoarders Anonymous group to try and cure the problem.

I will have to learn the game from scratch but that's what I'm looking forward to - taking it slow and enjoying it.

Hiya and welcome to our forums, and wanting to join us in FFXIV. You sound just like the type of players we've been recruiting and should fit in and get along with us all very well.

Exploring, adventure, community and having fun are exactly what MMOs are all about, as well as socializing at every opportunity...yatta! Dun worry about getting lost, a former member had that issue too, and we helped her as much as we could...hehe


Now then, about your name...unfortunately I'm gonna have to ask you to come up with a new one before membership is granted. What ya have; while it is unique...kinda, sounds goofy and doesn't quite work out with our naming policy.

So please get back with me on a new one and we'll go from there...
