Legend of The Seeker Season 2

The captivating, action-adventure series “Legend of the Seeker” will premiere its highly-anticipated second season the weekend of November 7th, it was announced today at the 2009 Comic-Con International Convention during a panel led by executive producers Ken Biller and Ned Nalle and featuring Terry Goodkind and Bruce Spence. Shot with the exotic and rugged New Zealand landscape as its backdrop, the weekly series has resumed production on 22 all-new action-packed episodes. Combining elements of fantasy, adventure, magic, mystery and romance with state of the art visual effects and a high level of action, “Legend of the Seeker” is an adaptation of internationally best-selling author Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth book series.

The executive producers also announced that actress Tabrett Bethell (“Mei Li Johnson”) will join the cast as a series regular. Bethell reprises her role as Cara, a Mord’Sith that will create tension between Richard and Kahlan. Additionally, actress Charisma Carpenter, best known for her starring role as Cordelia on the long-running hit series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel,” will guest star in the season premiere as a wicked Mord’Sith named Triana.

When woodsman Richard Cypher’s (Craig Horner, “Monarch Cove” and “Blue Water High”) life gets turned upside down after discovering that he has a profound destiny to fulfill as the Seeker, he is thrust into an unfamiliar world of magic, sorcery and evil. With Kahlan (Bridget Regan, “Sex and the City” and “The Best and the Brightest”), a woman with magical powers of her own, and a wise old wizard named Zedd (Bruce Spence, “Mad Max 2” and “The Matrix Revolutions”) by his side, Richard fights to protect innocent lives by confronting dangerous and evil forces.

In the upcoming second season, Richard, Kahlan and Zedd will encounter an array of rich and compelling new characters, both good and evil, and they will be tested in ways that they never could have imagined. The trio will discover that in defeating the bloodthirsty tyrant Darken Rahl, their victory is short-lived as they inadvertently unleashed an even greater evil on the world.

“Legend of the Seeker” is from the talented team behind the long-running, successful series “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys” and “Xena: Warrior Princess,” and the studio that produces primetime network hits including “Lost,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Ghost Whisperer” and “Army Wives.” The series is produced by ABC Studios and distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television. Ken Biller, Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, Ned Nalle and Josh Donen serve as executive producers. The series airs Saturdays and Sundays in national syndication.

Woot, I can't wait! I wanna see Cara! :) I've been reading on the books lately, too, so I'll be more familiar with the settings. I'm on Book 8 now, Naked Empire.

Nices, the books are really good....although some of them get kinda slow, they all have some impressive endings!

I'm finally done with the whole series. I still had a lot of questions on the last book, though, things that were left hanging a bit. Anyways, I can't wait to see the next season!

The books? Awesome....it had a very good ending I didn't expect! I loved how Jagang got killed off as not being important at all...and who got to do it was just awesome!

I forgot the show supposedly had started last weekend. I have to check it on my DVR or maybe it's on Fancast already.

It started this past Sat....I have yet to watch the ep, but I prolly will soon. Oh and if you're interested there is a new series by Terry Goodkind he's doing, well I'm assuming he's gonna write more but the first book is called The Law of Nines, and its a spin off from SoT.

I bought it but havn't yet started to read it, cause I was reading the new WoT book released last months and playing Dragon Age now too, but I'll get to it soon.

Oh that was neat, hadn't even known they made such a thing. May have to consider moving this book up on the priority list!
