Having just read the first 2 books in this series, I just subscribed to HBO :D

A little tough to read, they are big, and a bit depressing/dark but still something about them is intriguing. I definitely can't wait to see the TV show. I just hope they don't mess it up the way The Sword of Truth book were ruined in that Legend of the Seeker adaptation travesty.
